The workshop on Ruby on Rails (RoR)  will be conducted by resource person from India Linux User Group from 30.03.12 for six days (3 half days 3 hrs/day and 3 full days 7 hrs per day) for a total of 30 hrs. The workshop fee is Rs.900 per student.  Registration will be on first come first serve basis. Only 2^nd yr and 3^rd yr CSE and IT students are eligible to participate.

The Details of the workshop is as follows:

Internet application has two facets of technology, the server side and the client side. The client side is the look and feel, functionality presented to the user. Technologies like JavaScript and CSS are things to be pondered in this area while Server side needs an understanding of Scripting Language and Databases to start with.

3) Installing Linux Apache MySQL PHP and Building Web application with

PHP, Jquery, MySQL

4) Introducing Ruby Programming language

5) Object Oriented Programming with Ruby

6) Understanding Model View Controller. Introducing Rails

7) Understanding Action Controller, Action View and Active Record

8) Building Web application with Ruby on Rails.

9) Test and deploy the application
